Christmas Tree

‘Twas the night before Christmas…

It is Christmas Eve. We have been to the Christmas Eve service in the park. A warm fire, great fellowship and good music surrounded by friends and family.

When this message goes live, the little ones will be arguing about having to go to bed, wanting one more drink and singing Christmas carols to put themselves to sleep.

Once I am convinced the door is shut for the night, I will pull out the special things I have finished this week. I will sit beneath the tree and wrap the final presents. When I am finished, I will inspect it one last time from the couch. Isn’t it pretty?

There, I will snuggle up on the couch with a cup of eggnog… with a smidgen of cognac, to listen to soft music and contemplate the wonder of Christmas.

From our family to yours, have a very Merry Christmas filled with joy and love.

Red, Big V, T Man, Middle V, Little V, Man Cub, Cash and all the ones away from home this holiday

  5. I love this posting as it is such a warm and welcoming one, I am almost kneeling in front of the tree offering you the cellotape for the presents, well almost 🙂 Isn’t it lovely when all the presents are wrapped and the scene is set for Christmas morning, and then the chaos as all the little one’s gather and enjoy what Santa has brought them? 🙂 Wonderfully wicked I think 🙂 Have a lovely Christmas and do enjoy some more of your Eggnog with a dash of Cognac and I will lift a goblet of the Red Stuff 🙂

Merry Christmas Red, Bear, Big V, T Man, Middle V, Little V, Man Cub, Cash and all the ones away 🙂

    • Thank you for your yuletide wishes, Andro. It is a lovely sight before the little ones tear into it all. Yet, even with the yards of crumpled paper and strewn tissues and discarded shreds of boxes, it still has the unmistakable air of Christmas.

Happy tidings from all the troops,
      Red.
