Mail

Mail’s in!

In celebration of the moving I wanted to have a housewarming party for M3. Alas, before I can just throw a meet and greet, I need to take care of a bit of business which happened the day before the move. The mail has yet to be all forwarded, but I did get this one.

Mystery Coach and I had been discussing her new job when she popped up her newest award…which, like the sucker I am, I fell headlong into with no chance at crawfishing away. So, with no further ado, here is my version of the ABC Award.

The Rules

1. Add the logo.

2. Share something about yourself.

3. Go through the alphabet describing yourself.

4. Pass the award on to deserving bloggers.

Share

My current frustration level with liars and thieves is at a lifetime high.

Alphabet

Mystery Coach thought this award show would be a hoot based on the number of drawn out letters in her response and her pointing out I “have quite the vocabulary”. If you need to figure out what some of them mean, by all means, consult my go-to wordsmith Merriam Webster.

A ~ Amphibious

B ~ Bullheaded

C ~ Contrary

D ~ Determined

E ~ Erudite

F ~ Forward

G ~ Genteel

H ~ Hostile

I ~ Independent

J ~ Jocoserious

K ~ Knackish

L ~ Lusory

M ~ Mythoclast

N ~ Natural

O ~ Obfuscating

P ~ Philalethist

Q ~ Quesited

R ~ Raucous

S ~ Subversive

T ~ Tiring

U ~ Unconvinced

V ~ Vilified

W ~ Wicked

X ~ Xanthous

Y ~ Yeasty

Z ~ Zendik

I promise they probably do not mean what you first suspect they do. If you run into a problem with Webster telling you you have to have a subscription to the unabridged version, just comment, and I will define.

It seems Merriam is now segregating the good words out of the dictionary again. Another step in dumbing down the planet, but that is a horse of another color set to pull a post before too much longer.

Bloggers

If left to my own devices, I would like nominate 26 bloggers. Instead, I am going to hold back a bit of knowledge about what the next three days holds and nominate six.

Aurora Morealist

Taking Candy From a Baby

I am giving myself a raise in a few days. Or maybe a vacation. What I am really bucking for though is a company car!

  2. Amazed
    Attentive
    Aware

I discovered that aware is a Japanese word meaning pathos. In Japanese aesthetics — Mono no aware: the Pathos of Things. I learned of this phrase from John Daido Loori’s “The Zen of Creativity,” a wonderful book I bought last year, have read at least 3 or 4 times and return to again and again for inspiration.

That is not the first book of his you have read, is it? I was under the impression you had read another of his along similar lines. Or am I thinking of another book entirely?

The sleep pattern is a constantly shifting thing I’m afraid – because of these bloody pills…

The nose has been a problem since my dad broke it when I was 8 yo. but on the plus side it’s being bent out of shape has provided many a chuckle about ‘following one’s nose’…

    Love and hugs!

Yes I’m dreaming up two more chapters for the story – I keep switching ideas between them to see which fits best!

Sounds like you are really busy hun, I’m just glad you are reading it – I won’t drop dead from holding my breath though!!! πŸ™‚

The trouble with life is that everything must have a higher priority! πŸ™‚

I ordered a copy of ‘Frontier’ for the star map, so I will be able to plot out what goes where as the guy who wrote the game was an astronomer! πŸ™‚

It feels rather odd to have somebody actually reading my stuff – scary, but exciting too!!! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

Keep writing!! The game sounds interesting. I know absolutely nothing of the games. I play so few any more, and they are all ones I have been playing for years. Who would guess…I prefer word games πŸ˜‰
