Flash in the Pan

“How can you stand there with that silly smirk on your face?”

“Because it is funny?”

“Funny like a stomach pump.”

“Lighten up.”

“Easy for you to say.”

“It’s no skin off your teeth.”

“I’m ashamed for you. Do you have no conscience or are you just that oblivious?”

“None of the above. You just have no sense of humor.”

“What? I have a wonderful sense of humor. I simply cannot see what is funny about thinking a bronzed, larger-than-life cast of your genitalia is an appropriate anniversary gift for your ex.”

“You have no sense of humor.”

Welcome to "Flash in the Pan"

Welcome to “Flash in the Pan”

The word of the week is ashamed. Measuring up at 99 words against the 100 limit for March, this is another flash consisting completely of quotes. Have you tried to write a flash which was all quotes?

There is only one more week before the end of this quarter’s Flash in the Pan. It is not too late to join in the fun! On 01APR13, the new words will be posted and these will be a thing of the past! Look for the new book out on 01MAY13.

Flashers, if all of your links are not showing on the FTP page, let me know, so I can get them all up before the new page goes live!

Happy Flashing!

Who is speaking: man/woman, two men or two women? Which combination makes this funnier? Have you (or do you know someone who has) this kind of sense of humor or are you the ashamed friend?

  1. I think it’s a man and a woman. The gift is appropriate if they want them to laugh at the fact the reality is far from it.

The new words are almost here!!! Yay!!

  2. I hear this as a woman with hands on hips drilling her other half.

I like the gun-fire exchange! Comical too if you’ve a sense of humour. Ha ha.

  6. Seashells, I read it the same way you did! A mother talking to her son. I think it’s hilarious. I haven’t tried the flash using all quotes, but I see it as a challenge to try!
