Giselle was pale when she staggered into the living room. Her hands trembled.
“What is wrong?” Max was afraid she had hurt herself in the kitchen.
“Max,” her voice cracked, “There’s no coffee.”
Guys and Dolls, this is the last Hot Flash of the quarter. Weighing in at a paltry 33 words against the whopping max of 50, the feature word this week isΒ coffee.

/ June 2, 2013While at-home coffee beats anything available in our burg at the moment, since my TWO favorite coffee shops folded months back, there’s a new MacDonald’s just down the road (UGLY OUTSIDE, bearable inside because the windows are bigger and there’s wifi) where we can go in a pinch. And update the laptop faster with their connection than the one we have here. No need to panic, right? ANY coffee (within limits) is better than none, right?

/ June 4, 2013Ugh. I used to think that until I tasted the ash-water which passed for coffee in the last hotel we stayed in Minnesota. *shudder* I am not the only die hard coffee fiend who refused to drink it. Val and I both had juice instead.
