Hot Flash

He lay the tools in neat rows before turning back.

The moment he cracked the skull open, his heart fluttered. “Her mind’s just as beautiful as her body,” he murmured. “I wish I knew how long before exposure begins to kill it.” He exhaled his held breath. “Just so touchable.”

Welcome to "Flash in the Pan"

Welcome to “Flash in the Pan”

It is that time again! A new quarter. A new theme. New words and a new hot flash. These words will only last one quarter and the deadline is 31DEC13 at 2359 EST (GMT -5). No late entries are accepted. If you recruit your friends, be sure they read the instructions on the Flash in the Pan page.

Look for Finding the Path on 01NOV13 in the RedmundPro bookstore. As always, the first edition is free in the Free Book Bin. While you are there, check out the other books by the RedmundPro authors and flashers.

The theme this quarter is the name of the book: Disturbed. All of the words are ready for you to try on your more twisted personas. You asked. RedmundPro delivered.

Coming in on the button of 50 words, the feature word is cracked. How cracked can you get in 50 words?

Happy Flashing!

  4. Oh this one is disturbing. Please pass the monkey brains. Whoops, you mean I must eat a live human brain? OMG — give me a knife, a fork and a bib. This will be messy.

Love your story. Cracked the egg eh?

I’ll think of something good. It’s time for bed so maybe I’ll think of a good cracked story while trying to sleep or waking up at some ungodly hour — just me and the paper boy when it’s still dark and the sun hasn’t cracked the horizon.
