Hot Flash

He checked all of the equipment, again. Everything had to be perfect.

She was willing to embark on this adventure with him. He was leaving nothing to chance. Their desire to try something novel was the last stop before divorce court.

This flash is hot!

This flash is hot!

August is here with a 75-word limit, but Hot Flash tops out at 50. This sexy little number hits the mark at 41. The featured word is embark.

    • I know, right? It does sound like something a judge would order before granting a divorce. Do not get me started on the idiocy of such rulings. o.O

  6. I think they are going bungee jumping or skydiving. The adrenalin rush will act as a band-aid until one of them gets bored again.

    Great story!

  7. I thought bungee jumping too, at first, but on second reading think there’s a sailing-around-the-world feel to me. Yes, I think it IS sailing.

What an adventurous flash! I love the mystery.

This FTP isn’t on my list,
yes a list that I added to
in order not to forget my
    FTP postings 🙂 lol

    Embark is not amongst them
so either this has been added
later or I am losing my marbles 🙁

    • No, it is new. Hot Flashes are only added on the first of the month. There needs to be some things worth the wait. 😉 And yes, I do know I have twisted your arm sufficiently for you to create lists. 😛

      • Yes well I still don’t write lists generally but for the FTP quarters I always have one near so that I don’t miss any, actually if I write something that is not fitting then do tell me on the posting so that I can write an alternative 🙂

Yes I am cheeky but you already know that so I guess I can get away with it? 😉 lol I will add the word Embark (50) to my list and hopefully I will meet the deadline, although I think that I am already far behind everyone else having only completed four of the flashes so far, but I will get my skates on soon and finish them all in time 🙂

I was wondering if it is normal to write the flashes to the exact word count? 🙂 Of course with not knowing for sure this has now become my own challenge and so far I am succeeding 🙂

Have a very nice Tuesday Red and by the way I love the cover that you have added for ‘Flashes from the Bistro’ it is awesome 🙂

        • There are a few of the authors who meet the number exactly because they have to cut to make it fit. I feel certain you will make it.

I am glad you like the cover. It was fun. I am already working on the cover for the new one. It will be just as interesting. 🙂
