Flashes of Sanity 1

Quintan thought he was prepared. He had his script, practiced before the mirror, delivered the perfect proposal and Celia said “yes”. The months of planning flew by, and the magical day arrived.

Celia looked a dream floating down the aisle on a chiffon cloud. Quintan’s face would crack if he beamed any more. He took her hand and turned toward the priest. All he wanted was two words, just two little words.

Never in his nightmares did he believe he would hear two from the back of the cathedral: I object!
