It Is All About The Numbers

What do these numbers have in common? (Cue Jeopardy music) BUZZ! Oops, out of time. As your parting gift…I will tell you.

7,049

This is the number of visits M3 has gotten in its infant career. Judging from polls of my colleagues, this is not too shabby.  Three of my favorite blogs began the same week as M3. Combined, they do not have this many visits.

2,137

I have the most talked-to daily blog on the block. Well, at least of the 200ish I follow who do not have a paying audience. That is the number of comments which have been made on posts at M3.

366

Number of articles across the blogosphere which reference a post on M3. You have been a big help there. Your links back here are a tremendous asset to me. I like to think it means you find what I put here worthwhile. I could be wrong. Chances are good at least 1/3 of those are referencing me as “what NOT to do.”

51

Number of days M3 has been around. How many more is up to you, my beloved audience.

10

Number of times I have asked for your statistical input for a post. I run polls all the time. I do it on M3 and other places and in person. The writer in me is a mutt…also part statistician. One of my commenters noted I was an observer of humanity. I am also an observer of inhumanity, unfortunately.

The total number of typing writers bringing this blog to you three times per day (at least). Some days, I also update some of the pages here. Especially, the M3 Coffee Shoppe, which I update weekly. By the way, I will be changing the format there in the near future, so stay tuned for a new page and a little different feel.

1,000,000

The number of post words I want on this blog.  So far, so good. Watch the meter go up everyday. When it looks like it did not move, kick me in the comments so I get something posted. Just remember…it takes 10,000 words for it to move 1%. Guess this means I should write something, eh?

Help me out here.

Give me some ideas to keep me bulldozing through topics. What would you like to read? I know what has been popular so far, but you are quite a diverse group. Incidentally, you keep me on my toes. Since N.O. O.N.E. was interested in what I first wrote on this blog, we have obviously gone in a different direction. You get to steer. Where are we headed next?

PS

If you have forgotten where we have been, check the lower menu bar or press the very large tags Credit Cards, Travel, Emergency Funds or Saving Money.

How great is this post! What a unique way to combine numbers with information about your blog. I am liking what I read 🙂

    • When the blog moves, one of the “M”‘s is going to be math…it seems to be a constant theme…see Marriage Mathematics 😉
