Day 23: If only…

I have more than my fair share of people I miss. I do not attach to things in the ways others do, so we are going to twist this a bit and not talk much.

  1. Cats and dogs make such great companions for so many people, but they never live nearly long enough.

    • My sweet Bushy was fifteen when she passed away in 2011 and my friends cat called Monty passed only recently and he was twenty years old so a good life that I think πŸ™‚

      • I miss Outlaw and Trouble very much. I am not in a position to take in a new cat these days what with a teething Bacchus. Perhaps, one day. My next acquisitions will be birds. Definitely birds. And then more fish. πŸ™‚

    • I know that is the truth. I am a mush, too. I swore after Zed there would be no more dogs (hence his name). Yeah, right.

  4. I miss Willy and JD.
We have Velvet now and she’s turning into a good pup, just like I knew she would. In fact, I miss all my dogs going back almost as far as I can remember. Each one takes a piece of heart when they leave.

  5. I miss every animal I’ve ever had that grew old and died; I’ve only missed a couple of people, maybe only one- my mom. Your pets are beautiful!

    • Thank you. There have been a long line of them. Only recently have I begun getting them at birth. So many have only been with me for a few years.

  6. I had a cat once, but had to give him up to a friend as he was a homicidal maniac!

Did a good job clearing out Mark’s rat problem though! πŸ™‚

When the kids had hamsters they got bored with them and I had to look after them until they died.

Never realised what murderous little sods hamsters are!!! πŸ™

    Love and hugs!

    • I would think you would do well with fish. They leave little to no mess. I have a beta I adore. Gruber has been with us more than two years and is a feisty one indeed.

    • One of my best pets is Gruber. He is expressive. The only thing we do not do is the cuddling thing, what with me having no gills and all. He fusses when I stay up too late. πŸ˜‰

  9. They’ve shared most precious moments and gave light to our lives. I guess, they are happy that wherever they are, you still keep them inside your heart. And that’s priceless.
