Flash in the Pan

He pulled himself up off the floor and clutched his temples with a low moan.

His eyes adjusted quickly to the low light, and he recognized this as the pool room. He wondered how long he had been out until his head throbbed its objection to conscious use.

He grabbed the bumper and pulled himself unsteadily to his feet. His keys were on the table with a note thanking him for a good time. Counting the signatures made his head hurt more.

Slinking into the back parking lot, he prayed no one would see him clad only in a tablecloth.
