The officer stared incredulously.
“First, she slit my tires and poisoned my dog. Next, she called my mother and gave her a heart attack. When I went to the hospital, she burned my house down. After that, she escaped from jail and broke in my new house and used DVDs to put subliminal messages in my mind. So, tonight, I called the police and hoped you got here first or she’d have kidnapped me and made me elope since she already tested my blood and bought the license.”
“We’ll keep you safe ’til the doctor arrives.” And brings meds.
