She breezed through the door in a cloud of Chanel No. 5.

Every eye in the room drank her in from her ostrich-plumed chapeau to the stilettos delicately strapped to her tiny feet. She glided across the Persian rug to a red leather wing back chair. She stopped with one hip cocked and gingerly took the cigar from his mouth to put in the ashtray.

The echo of the slap drew in everyone’s breath but his. “You scurvy bastard! I hope it was worth it.”

She picked up the cigar and left with as much panache as when she entered.

She comes in on the money for the 100-word upper limit for the month of June. Today’s featured word is scurvy.

Only one week left for this quarter. Wow! Wait until you see the new book. The offline authors are fighting for their place in the book. Are you in? Have you read any of the flash books? Have you left a review?

Happy Flashing!

What did he do? Who is she? Do you think it was worth it?

  1. Stupendous! Applause, applause for this one and your starring character. At 100 words, the story and character are so well developed to create the scene and action. I’m amazed.
