At the risk of sounding ancient, I stopped listening to the radio nearly twenty years ago. The two-fold reason is partly to blame for my opinion of mainstream music.

Every surface gleamed. He could see his reflection in stainless counter tops and appliances. Knives so sharp, their edges glittered. Bowls of fruit, spices hung to dry from the racks, prep bowls lined up waiting to be filled: Everything was perfect.

As forthright as I am, there are only a few things I would like to say to an ex which were not delivered in a dissertation, soliloquy or a classic rant. Still, there are a few I would like to repeat, were there ears attached and functioning.
