Hot Flash

Martha slammed the van’s back doors. It took her nearly a week to walk over there.

“Not like he is going to notice. All I have left is to trace his outline on the sidewalk.”

~~~~~~~~~~
Based on author interest, Flash in the Pan is proud to present Hot Flashes. Each Hot Flash must be 50 words or less. This little one weighs in at 35 words. And I had to add a sentence to get it that big!
October’s word is trace. In holding with this quarter’s theme, the word can be used as a noun or a verb in your flash.Β The words will be revealed one per month until the end of the quarter.Β Can you make it under a micro line?
If you would like to suggest a word for future Hot Flashes, visit the RedmundPro forum and grab the thread in the Flashers room. There are loads of things to discover once you get there. So, register and get to surfing!
Welcome to “Flash in the Pan”
Have you seen all the additions? FTP is off to a running start with more than 30 entries! Join in the fun. Read some of your friends. Seriously cool fun!
Why did it take her so long? Where would she rather be?
  1. I will have to try some of these hot flashes Red, well sometime soon anyway, by the way I am really pleased that you liked the ‘Drug’ FTP that I just wrote, you were very quick to read that one and offer your thoughts as I had only just added it πŸ™‚
    I will be calling into RedmundPro Forum again later to see who has been offering their insight, it is a very good platform for everyone to add their own blend of chatter, or just wittering on as I often do here, there and everywhere πŸ™‚ lol
    I like your quick flashes Red πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚
    Have a really great evening and a
      • This was a medium I resisted for quite some time. Now, I am hopelessly hooked. I find myself wanting to flash in books when I really need to be explaining. :O
    • I am glad to see you warming to the medium. You do it rather well without realizing you have. See you in the forum. πŸ˜‰
    • That is cool. If you like, you can do what Lizzie did and do them in a collage. She did hers in trios πŸ˜‰
  3. You’ve mastered the art of Flash, Red, this one is superb! I’ll play with this word, and see if I can come up with a hot one in less than 50!
  4. I would like to be able to re trace the steps I have taken in life. I know now which paths I should not have followed.
    • That is a mouthful, Carl. It makes me wistful, though. It is sad to think you regret things strongly enough to forego the good which came from those very paths.
  8. She sure sounds like a cranky pants. I’m glad it’s not me whose outline is going to be traced. Sounds like the opening of an episode of CSI
