Calling all Authors, Fictioneers & Dreamers

If you recall a few weeks ago, I asked for your help with ideas for the graphics for Redmund Productions. To say the venture is moving forward at warp speed is an understatement. Now, it is time to get to the meat and bones of the operation. Can you give me a moment?

As many of you know, my long term goal is to open a book store. In the meantime, I ran across a need within our community which has led me to stop along the way to give back.

Over the years, I have garnered more than my fair share of support from some of the most talented people across the globe. One of the statements I hear echoed all over the Internet is that there are a number of “writers” who have manuscripts in all stages of development which have never gotten off the hard drive, notebooks or wherever they were initially written. What is my response?

#1 Reason: Money

(Insert visual of me cringing.) So, I have a proposal. I am going to make an offer I hope will be impossible to refuse.

I am willing to offer my services to the first 20 books (authors with more than one WIP welcome to submit more than one). Yeah, I know, you cannot see what makes that irresistible. Sit down and put the drink down…

At no upfront cost for the author.

On the heels of this week’s Flash in the Pan, everyone wants to know what the catch is. For many authors, there is not one. Here is the plan:

Based on the amount of work your book needs, I will negotiate a pittance (and I truly mean that…most will be what I have to pay contractors to finish your manuscript) which we will work out on a per copy price. I have a few artists who are willing to do cover art. I have established editors who are going to be reading and editing. I have layout editing which will have your book print ready.

Oh, and one more thing…

I will put the books together, purchase the ISBN for print and ebook formats, submit them for POD, submit them to the Amazon for your country (and all other applicable Amazon markets) and give all of the titles a home on the new website (where M3 will be living in just a few short weeks).

Since you all know I will be promo’ing the new site everywhere, you will grab the marketing fallout from a huge launch. Want some more marketing mojo? The initial cast of Redmund will all be able to cross market their fellow authors so you will not have to smash everyone you know on social media with your book only. Plus, you will get an ad to place on your blogs for your book.

Did I mention, I am working with a few bookstores to get the books on actual shelves?

You get to do the creative part. I wrangle all the technical and PITA work. You reap the benefits of being published and selling books.

Not Ready?

There are choices for you to get into the action:

Flash in the Pan is going to be offered in a first edition with the RP launch. The overall goal is to print a new Flash in the Pan book each quarter. Would you like to be in the anthology? Get your name on a print book to add to your resumΓ© or bookshelf? Submit your flashes through the Flash in the Pan page.

Every one of the books needs beta readers. I still need three more beta readers to read the books after they are edited. This is not a credited position, but a coveted one. You get an advance copy of the manuscript and get to be the first to review it.

Your Turn

If any of this is interesting to you, scroll up to the About tab and click on Ask Momma and talk to me. If you have questions about your manuscript, email me. If you need more help with Flash in the Pan, comment.

Do you have art you would like to put together in a book? Do you have a collection of short stories or flash fiction? Do you want to be part of the co-op? Do you know someone who this could be their perfect solution? Are you ready to join the team? Do you have other ideas you think would fit into the Redmund Productions format?
