Today, we took a look into my love affair with spiders. They hold a large place in the imagery, metaphor and allusion which inhabits a healthy portion of my writing and poetry. Question: What do you get when you combine bubbles and spider webs?

Fire Reflex

Fire.

At heart, I have always been a pyromaniac. Fire is comforting on so many levels. It provides warmth and light, both can be harnessed to make many other things possible.

Hospital waiting rooms are the absolute worst. The chairs are dreadfully uncomfortable. The vending machine food inedible. The droning of the television cannot drown out the silence from the nurse’s station. What are you supposed to do?

Saturday Evening Post

No more talk of roller coasters and other nauseating events. No more hatemail. No more awards. Tonight is a quiet fireside look into the ticker. Pull up a rocker, grab a cuppa. Successes are sweeter than sugar cubes. How about some saltwater taffy?
