GoodReads: More Miscommunication

Most of you who are friends with me on GoodReads know I am not there as much as I would like to be. Little did I know their email system was unreliable.

Starting a week ago, apparently, GoodReads approved my giveaway for Mantra for a Muse.

If you have not already won or bought a copy, enter to win! But hurry! It ends at midnight (in four hours).

Giveaway ends September 15, 2012.

See the giveaway details
at Goodreads.

Enter to win

What I find thoroughly nauseating about the entire mess is someone who does not have a copy of the book (I have shipped out all but the single ebook copy.) gave it two stars. Kinda difficult to read something without a copy.

Friggin’ bad ink.

  1. I’ve been reading some of my surprise :) so when I’m done (which may be a little while because I’m reading other things as well) but … where would I go to make a review?

    Just point… :) Thanx :)

    • On the Red Books tab, there is a link to Goodreads. If you need the link to Amazon, it is on the About Momma page ;) Do you like it so far?

      • I love it of course! I skip around because I don’t have to follow a story line. So I go to particular ones that I like the title :)

I love “Listening”, “Heat”, “Smoke”, “Take Away” which gave me goosebumps … “Took” is very powerful… (kick ass, heh) and I’m not sure which others right now, as I mentioned, I skip around because I don’t have to follow a story line.

I’m not into poetry, however, I to believe you’re persuaded me to expand my horizons.

Slap that up there on your uh… you know, good reads something … hahaha! Woman, you know what I mean! :) (insert innocent childlike expression HERE)

        Sue :)

p.s. I really do get goosebumps. I’m not good at expressing sentiment the way I would like to? Goosebumps I think says a lot.

  2. Some people can’t help but grouse at other people’s success. Don’t take it to heart and remember that thick skin we writers are supposed to have.

    • I did not take it to heart. I did however, go to the worm’s page (a whole two days old and no friends) and ask how one gives a book which one has never seen 2 stars. I did not even folly the worm. I question my restraint.

        • Hover your mouse over “The Map” in the top menu bar. Then press “Food”. :) Lots of yummies. I am going to have to do a singles series on food. There are gobs of the M3 Readers who live alone and the army feeding I am used to doing is not conducive to them…so they think ;) And we so need to invent a teleporter! <3 xxx

  7. I know some folks have good luck with GoodReads, but the authors in my writer’s group have more negative stories than positive. Reviews are turning into untrustworthy sources anymore, I’m sorry to say.

    • With the rise of the paid review, there was no way reviews would stay on course. I read a scathing review on GR and was flabbergasted. The book is hysterical, but the person reading it was from India and thought it should have been a reference book. It is a recipe book for funerals in the American south. HOW straight can it really be???
