Soft Summer Slumber

Mantra

Just a little something soft after a week of rough and tumble. This is not my natural choice of poem, so if you do not like the result, Mantra is 100% to blame. Well, not entirely. The memory is mine. The sonnet is hers.

There are many ways to escape. Some are physical escapes, which are so much fun. And then, there are the ones which are the fabric of fantasies.

Erupted

The more you do, the more you are expected to do.” The way of the world is of those granted much, much is expected. Much is not always money. Much is often time, talent, drive, skills, propensity, charity, resolve, kindness, compassion, courage, foresight, problem-solving, strength, …and more or some combination of them.

Tonight is Mantra’s night. What she has on the menu is a philosophical look into the drama with which we are inevitably surrounded. Even those who operate merely in the virtual world, eventually find themselves pulled into some sort of scam. The lengths to which some will go are simply mind-boggling.
