Have you begun decorating? Are you finished? Do you skip it? Who has some mistletoe? I do not want to have to climb a tree this year to get some.

/ November 29, 2012Looks awesome, Red!
This is the first year Annabelle and I have put up a tree. It was kind of a pain (who would have thunk it?)! I’m sensing a tradition.

/ November 29, 2012Oh, how I know that. I was ready for a pain reliever after we got that big one in the house. Not only is it ten feet (You cannot see the top in the picture.), but it also has a trunk which is eight inches in diameter. It is going to be great in the chiminea after the holidays 😉

/ November 29, 2012I would love to cut it up and make stuff out of it but I guess I won’t be doin’ that anymore.

/ November 29, 2012This is definitely the one which would be good for that. So very glad to see you today, Bo. <3 that picture of Rocky!

/ November 29, 2012I’m still trying to get help to clean out the trees corner, and I’ve got to buy mini decorations for the kid’s tiny tree… and hope the dog doesn’t try to eat it all.

/ November 29, 2012Spray the bottom branches with vinegar. The smell for us only lasts a couple hours. The dog will be able to smell it for days.
Laurie
/ November 29, 2012Hmm, wonder if that’d get him to stop treating the cat as a toy….vinegar added to shopping list as a must instead of an it can wait a week…

/ November 29, 2012Doubtful. The cat still moves independently. 😉

/ November 29, 2012We don’t decorate very much but since we have Rocky we will have to put up a small tree. Our last Dog loved Christmas and opening his presents on Christmas mornin’.

/ November 29, 2012This will be Beau’s first Christmas. So far, there is only one present he wants to open. I need to ask Momma what is in the box. Our big dog (Cash) loves to open presents…and roll in the paper pile.

/ November 29, 2012Thanks for the reminder. Now I have not put up a Christmas tree but I am planning to very soon. I remember as a kid that Christmas trees would cheer me up and it would help me get into the whole Christmas spirit. I want my kids to experience the same thing.

/ November 29, 2012I was thinking of picking up one of those pine bough ropes, stapling it to a pole and hanging some ornaments on it. We usually don’t do a tree, but this year… We’ll see.

/ November 29, 2012Nifty trees you have. A ten-footer, you say. My son-in-law wants to get at least a nine-footer next year…
If it wasn’t for my grandchildren, I wouldn’t bother. They have TWO Christmas trees upstairs (put up last weekend). I have entertaining coming up so I plan to put the little ones to work–they can’t wait. I just roll my eyes.
Once the work is done, I’m always happy I went to the trouble.

/ November 30, 2012I am, too. I was sore for three days after bringing that monstrosity into the house. The smell alone is worth it. xxx
