Have you begun decorating? Are you finished? Do you skip it? Who has some mistletoe? I do not want to have to climb a tree this year to get some.

/ November 29, 2012I may be decorating with a small tree later on. I love getting the tree on Christmas Eve and decorating it then. I have a small space, and a small tree is perfect!

/ November 30, 2012I am not really big on the holidays, but the children are. I need the pressure of the decorations to keep it up knowing today I have only heard “How many days until December?” 18 times.

/ November 29, 2012Red, your ten footer is amazing! I can only imagine how magnificent it is in person. It is also a perfect tree, so full and so many places for the beautiful decorations you put on it. Your house is a merry place to be.

/ November 30, 2012It always is. The children make it merry. And there are gobs of places for the small presents to be hidden in the tree. I add them in as the day gets closer.

/ November 30, 2012I have a foot tall plastic tree I stand on my window ledge and that’s it! ๐
When the kids were little we used to decorate my home, but now they’ve all grown up there’s no point in wasting the money.
Aah fond memories though!!! ๐
Love and hugs!

/ November 30, 2012I have so many decorations it does not occur to me it costs anything. When I started collecting, I had a meager budget each year. This year, I have put out less than 1/5 of the decorations and am content there are plenty. ๐

/ November 30, 2012I decorated this week, but I was too lazy at the time to get on a chair and hang the mistletoe so I put it at reachable distance in order to hang up later. Wasn’t thinking about it when I hung it waist high… just now realized lol It’s still there waiting to be hung on the ceiling.

/ November 30, 2012We stopped putting up a tree when we took in Mitchie Foo as a kitten. Tinsel and antique glass and glitter don’t play well with kittens, not to mention evergreen sap and needles.
Red
/ November 30, 2012What an interesting name! Antiques and babies are generally a dangerous combination. I must have chosen well. We are not having needle issues…yet. xxx

I love these pics. And Christmas!
I haven’t but can’t wait. Probably tomorrow or on Sunday. I’m always the only one who wants to decorate. It’s MY thing. ๐

Have a lovely weekend.
Red
/ November 30, 2012I should break down and take better pix, but I love the tree. I hope we can see yours when you get it up. Lots of people here are putting up decorations this weekend. <3 xxx Have a great time of it!

/ November 30, 2012Well, happy birthday a bit early. Which day? I am so ready to move home to be with family when they all take off work for the holidays. Funny though, we always take off in the spring rather than the winter. There is far more to do ๐ Have a great weekend, Phil.
Phil
/ November 30, 2012Thanks Red, it’s next Wednesday.
That move back home sounds like an adventure in itself.
That’s the best thing about holidays…family time. ๐

/ December 1, 2012They look beautiful!!
I didn’t know you guys start decorating this early. I thought people start decorating like a week before Christmas.
I think my friend hasn’t decorated a tree yet. Hehehe I am waiting for her Christmas cookies ๐

/ December 1, 2012Thank you. I got into the tradition of putting up the tree the day after Thanksgiving. We get an extra week this year bc Thxgvg was early. I like to keep them up until my birthday, but the live tree rarely makes it that long. *grins* I have been baking those myself, and have a request from the short ones in my house for more! <3 xxx
